MATH
• Students will take the Mid-Year Everyday Math Assessment this week.
Concepts from Unit 6 this week will include:
*Data analysis
*Organizing data into a bar graph or pie chart
READING
This week, students will choose a book that they can read along with a partner. Though each child will be reading the book independently, they will use the skills that we have learned about having a good discussion to discuss this book with their partner.
WRITING
This week students will finish collecting information for their research projects. They will then begin organizing their notes into an outline. Please monitor your child's progress by referring to the dark pink calendar your child should have in his/her homework binder. If they seem like they are falling behind, they may have to complete some of the research at home. (Please do not allow them to get too far ahead, however.)
